Do I need any special equipment?

No special equipment is required, but you’ll need to find a place where you can do your Somatics exercises every day, preferably on a carpeted floor. If you don’t have a carpeted floor, you can use a folded blanket or yoga mat over a hard-surface floor. You can also do many Somatics exercises on a firm chair.

When you do Somatics exercises, you should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to allow your body to move easily without restrictions.
